A little more about Kristina Johnsen:

KRISTINA JOHNSEN is a singer and multi-instrumentalist from Ann Arbor, Michigan, bringing an organic and introspective, yet whimsical flair to alt-pop. Drawing inspiration from Baroque-Pop acts and Alt-Indie rockers, her diverse influences include the Killers, Florence + the Machine, Marty Robbins, Jack White, Hozier, Lady Gaga, and Norah Jones.

Raised in a musical family, she began singing as soon as she could talk and playing the violin as soon as she could hold one without dropping it. Growing up singing in choirs and playing in orchestras, she eventually discovered her passion for pop and alt rock and began playing in bands as a singer and guitarist. After sharpening her skills as a performer in musical theatre productions and as a musician in cover bands, she decided to take the next leap into pursuing her own music and original material.

As a solo artist, she has played festivals, concerts, open mics, and house shows across the US in Atlanta, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Pittsburgh, and Ann Arbor, along with other cities and towns in the Midwest. In 2011, she was declared winner of the Price of Life Songwriting Contest (Grove City College) and has continued to write as much as she possibly can.

Kristina is currently working on recording her newest studio EP, drawing influences from Alt-Rock, Blues, and Baroque Pop, infusing it with acoustic sounds and intelligent, intricate, and self-reflective lyrics.

A little more about J. Washburn:

A 30+ year choral music veteran and classically trained tenor, J. Washburn Gardner brings a unique and lyrical voice to the singer/songwriter realm. Drawing inspiration from his adventures and misadventure in love, friendship, family, and pet ownership, he writes and sings songs of love, pain, and joy. J. Washburn has lived in southeast Michigan most of his life and currently heralds from Ypsilanti but has roots that span from the Monadnock region of southern New Hampshire to the Puget Sound communities of Tacoma and Seattle, Washington. Sometimes heartwarming, sometimes sad, J. Washburn is always pleasing to the ears.
